Over the past six years we have built up relationships with many small-scale producers who supply us directly. These producers are extremely important to us. The Wilsons from Mull, supply us with their mussels and The Isle of Mull Crab Company send us their crabs. Our huge prawns and scallops are caught for us on an almost daily basis by a local diver, George, weather and tides permitting. We believe in paying a fair price for such wonderful local food.
Lesley (Sarah's Mum) has built a bigger greehouse during the winter of 2008/9. She is growing a wide range of salad and herbs for us and a variety of different vegetables including legumes, beetroot and potatoes.
The cheddar cheese we serve comes from Sgriob Ruadh Dairy and farm on the Isle of Mull. Wild venison and venison products come from Great Glen Game team in Spean Bridge.
This year we have a shorter list which we have sourced from the organic suppliers Vintage Roots.
We are small and informal. Our evening menu is short. (Normally with a choice of two starters, two or three main courses and puddings). What we cook depends on what our suppliers have. If the weather is very rough, creels cannot be lifted! All the food is cooked to order.
If you particularly want prawns (or anything else), we suggest you let us know in advance as we are a small restaurant and sometimes we sell out of certain things.
If you would like to come in a party, we are happy to agree a menu beforehand with you.
