Getting here:
From Oban and Fort William -
From Fort William - take the A82 heading for Glasgow. After seven miles, turn right at the signs for the Corran Ferry.
From Oban - Take the A82 out of Oban, heading for Glasgow and Fort William and turn left at the signs for the Corran Ferry.
Take the ferry (five minute crossing at 1/4 to and 1/4 past the hour).
On disembarking, turn left onto the A861 and continue for approximately 12 miles, then turn left for Lochaline and Mull. Follow the stunning A884 for 22 miles until you reach Lochaline. In the village itself, there is a turning up to the right. The Whitehouse is 50 yards up this road next to Lochaline Stores.

From the Isle of Mull:
Go to the Calmac Ferry terminal at Fishnish and take the Lochaline Ferry. The journey is twenty minutes long and there is a five minute walk up a hill to the Whitehouse Restaurant. You need to check the timetable if you plan to come to dinner, as you will need to be early if you plan to get the last ferry back!
A fully licensed boat is available for hire to bring a party of diners from Salen to the Whitehouse. Please contact us for details.

Accommodation
A charming, recently refurbished house is now available on a self-catering basis. A short stroll from the restaurant, this lovely accommodation affords uninterrupted views of the sound of Mull and the mouth of Lochaline. Available on a daily or weekly basis, at approximately £35 (for bookings made from 1st May) per person per night.

The area has a range of holiday accommodation including the stunning Ardtornish Estate (www.ardtornish.co.uk) with its variety of cottages and apartments in the Grade 1 Ardtornish House and Lochaline is a base from which many divers explore the clear and archaeologically rich waters of the Sound of Mull.
Lochaline has a wonderful sheltered anchorage and is an ideal stop over as you travel up or down the Sound of Mull.
